Resistance: Retribution is a third-person shooter game released for the PlayStation Portable (PSP) in 2009. Developed by Bend Studio and published by Sony Computer Entertainment, the game is part of the popular Resistance series that originally debuted on PlayStation 3.
This PSP entry takes place between Resistance: Fall of Man and Resistance 2, expanding the story and giving handheld players a unique way to experience the fight against the Chimera invasion.

Multiplayer (Ad-Hoc & Online) – The game supported up to 8-player matches with different modes (Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, etc.).
PS3 Connectivity (Infected Mode) – When linked with Resistance 2 (PS3), the game unlocked special content like new skins, weapons, and altered storylines.
📖 Storyline
The game centers around James Grayson, who is traumatized after being forced to kill his own brother, who was being converted into a Chimera. Grayson dedicates himself to destroying conversion centers across Europe, eventually joining Maquis resistance fighters. Together, they battle the Chimera across France, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg.
The story adds depth to the Resistance timeline and is considered a bridge between the console titles.
